Movie Store Convo. Highlighted Tuesday's Jime Rome Show (The Jungle)

I enjoyed the movie store talk and e-mails on Tuesday. Rome left nothing uncovered from the ridiculous amount of snacks and ice cream available to an e-mailer counting on every time you hold up a movie someone from the other side of the store comes over and says "you'll love it" or "It starts off really slow, but gets good at the end". Vic in No-Cal also had a priceless call. I am not a Vic in No-Cal fan, I honestly think he is an overrated caller, but he proved his worth in The Jungle with his Jay Mohr smack.

Rome: Please Stop Talking About Your Phone, No One Cares!

I love the Jim Rome show and consider myself a die hard Clone, but I can't get past how annoying Rome blabbering on about his Blackberry Curve. I really don't care what kind of phone you have Rome or how sweet it is. I'm surprised that clones even e-mail about their cellphones. Get back to sports or funny takes. I'm all about the Sham Wow and Snuggie takes, but not a cell phone that I don't care about.

Tracy McGrady Interview on The Jim Rome Show

Tracy McGrady had a contreversial interview that brought along with it hundreds of e-mails to Jim Rom in the Jungle. Tracy McGrady admitted that over the last few years he had lost some of his passion but now is more motivated than ever due to media pressure. Houston fans were not happy that this multi-millionaire had lost some of his passion while on their team's payroll. Personally, I don't have as big of a problem with this as everyone else does. We don't bring our A game to work everyday, granted we don't all make millions, but regardless there is a time in everyone's career where they will not be 100% mentally. The guy was beat up going from one injury to another and under constant pressure from the city of Houston and the media unfairly criticizing him as if he was the only player on the Rockets. What's your take?

4/21/2009 Rome Cuts Off Man's Game Mix

It was a good show on 4/21/2009 but I was disappointed that Rome cut off Alvin starting on the Man's Game Mix that was started (as always) by Suzyn Waldman's "ROGER CLEMENS IS IN GEORGE'S BOX AND ROGER CLEMENS IS COMING BACK, OF ALL THE DRAMATIC THINGS.....", Alvin then played Dwight Howard's Stan Van Gundy's impression (hilarious) and then ran yakety sax in the background and qued in John L. Smith's "And the coaches are screwing it up". Just as I was beginning to cry laughing Rome had it cut off.

War Alvin's Man's Game Mix, which originally started in early April when Rome had Dwight Howard as a guest.

Should Bum Smack be Allowed in the Jungle?

Bum smack has long been a banned topic in "The Jungle". Is it all in good fun or should Bum Smack continued to be banned and come with a "BLOCK" whenever e-mailed into the show. The most memorable of these moments would be when an e-mailer War'ed Bum's stealing bread from ducks. What's your take on Bum Smack?

Who is Your Favorite Jim Rome "Jungle" Caller?

Who is your favorite Jim Rome "Jungle" Caller? I am not a huge fan of any one caller in particular and need your help picking a favorite caller. I do like newcomer Mike in Indy, but he is a rookie caller and will not win the Smack-Off. I don't like Vic in No-Cal, Greg in Vegas, Terrance in Sierra Modre is alright...any suggestions? Who is your favorite and why?

History of the Smack-Off

Just found an amazing website with the complete results (Top 10 included) of all of the Jungle Smack-Offs. Check it out here.

JimRome.com Streamlink Subscription

Subscribing to Streamlink (Jim Rome Subscription) was by far the best purchase I have made in the last few years errrrr ever. Last night I listened to the 2005 Smack-Off (available to listen to with subscription right now). I am now officially excited for the Friday May 8th Smack-Off 15 coming up fast. Streamlink allows you to listen to the last 30 days worth of shows plus other old shows once in a while. Since I often work during the show and cannot slack off enough to pay attention, my only option is to purchase a subscription to streamlink and wait until I get off from work each day to get my fill of the Jungle. War Streamlink subscriptions.
